Binance Expands Access to AI-Powered Trading Tools

Binance has opened its AI Pro strategy agent to all users, introducing free access to a product that had been available through a paid beta since March 25. The tool is designed to help users turn trading ideas written in everyday language into automated strategies without needing to write code.

The platform accepts instructions about trading conditions, risk limits and the cryptocurrencies a user wants to trade. It then converts those requirements into an editable visual workflow that users can review before deploying a strategy. Binance AI Pro is available through the exchange’s website and mobile app, without requiring a separate sign-up, although access remains subject to regional restrictions.

The product supports spot trading and USDS-M futures strategies. Binance has not provided a full list of restricted jurisdictions or specified when access will become available in every market. The company outlined the wider release in its official Binance AI Pro announcement.

How Binance AI Pro Turns Instructions Into Strategies

AI Pro is intended to reduce the technical barriers involved in building automated trading systems. Instead of manually writing code, users can describe the behavior they want, including which market conditions to monitor and what limits a strategy should follow. The agent generates a workflow that can be inspected and edited before use.

The system supports both simulated and live trading. Users can first test a strategy with virtual funds through paper trading, allowing them to observe how its logic behaves without immediately exposing real capital to market movements. They can also choose to run an approved strategy live, subject to the platform’s available features and regional rules.

“Binance AI Pro is about access: professional-style strategy building, no coding required, with the user in control at every step,” said Jeff Li, Binance’s vice president of product. The company’s stated approach emphasizes user oversight rather than allowing the AI agent to independently control funds or activate strategies without permission.

What the Free and Paid Plans Allow

Binance’s plan details indicate that both free and paid users can paper trade and run strategies live. The company’s launch materials also set a limit of 10 strategies per user in total, covering simulated, live and signal-only strategies.

The broader release follows the paid beta that began on March 25. Existing beta users can retain their current service and transfer their chat history and strategies to the expanded version, according to Binance’s announcement. The company previewed the release during its Binance Intelligence livestream on October 5.

Although the free tier broadens access, the 10-strategy cap means users must manage their available slots across different uses. Binance has not disclosed a complete list of regional restrictions in the supplied announcement, so eligibility may vary depending on where a user is located.

Account Safeguards and User Approval Remain Central

Binance says the AI agent cannot transfer funds. Live strategies operate using money that users allocate to a dedicated AI Strategy Account, which is separated from their main account balance. These strategy sub-accounts cannot send funds to external addresses, creating a boundary between the automated trading activity and outside transfers.

Users also retain control over activation and ongoing operation. A strategy only goes live after the user approves it, and users can pause or stop it at any time. If they change the strategy’s logic, the platform creates a new version that requires approval before it can be used.

The platform also checks generated code, but Binance cautions that this check has a limited purpose: it verifies that the logic can run without errors. It does not assess a strategy’s profitability, quality or likely performance. A strategy that passes the technical check can still lose money when exposed to changing market conditions.

Why AI Trading Still Requires Risk Management

Automated strategies can monitor conditions and execute predefined rules without requiring users to place every order manually. However, automation does not remove the risks associated with cryptocurrency trading. Market volatility, liquidity changes, futures leverage and flaws in a strategy’s assumptions can all affect results.

Paper trading can help users examine how a strategy behaves under simulated conditions, but simulation does not guarantee that live execution will produce similar results. Actual trading may involve different prices, execution conditions, fees and liquidity. Binance’s distinction between code validation and performance assessment is therefore important: a strategy that runs correctly is not necessarily a profitable one.

The company said the product’s design follows the principle of “bounded autonomy” described in a policy paper published by its Global Policy team earlier in October. The concept, as applied to the announced safeguards, keeps the agent’s actions within defined limits while leaving important decisions—such as approving a live strategy—with the user.

Binance Joins a Growing Market for AI Trading Agents

Binance’s expansion comes as other trading platforms explore AI tools for retail users. Robinhood unveiled plans for in-app AI trading agents in late September, illustrating how automated assistance is becoming part of the competition among digital-asset and brokerage platforms.

Binance has also broadened its product range beyond conventional cryptocurrency trading. Its bStocks tokenized-equity products recently crossed $1 billion in assets, according to the supplied material, showing the exchange’s wider interest in bringing additional financial products to its users.

For Binance AI Pro, the next important indicators will be how users adopt the free tier, which regions can access the service and how effectively the safeguards operate in practice. The launch expands access to automated strategy creation, but the tool does not guarantee returns or replace the need for users to understand the risks of the strategies they approve.
