BNB Chain Q3 2026 Report: Tokenized Equity Trading Hits $25.6B

BNB Chain Records $25.6 Billion in Tokenized-Equity Trading

BNB Chain experienced a major expansion in tokenized-equity activity during the third quarter of 2026, with combined trading volume reaching approximately $25.6 billion, compared with $2.4 billion in Q2. The total included $24.4 billion across decentralized exchange (DEX) venues and $1.2 billion through Ondo Global Markets. The DEX figure excludes trading pairs that combine tokenized assets with memecoins.

The growth made tokenized equities one of the quarter's most significant developments for the blockchain. BNB Chain recorded more than half of the $45.8 billion in tokenized-asset DEX volume tracked across chains during Q3. Tokenized-asset pairs also accounted for 32.3% of the network's total spot DEX volume, a substantial shift from their 0.2% share in Q2.

The expansion coincided with a broader increase in network revenue and transaction activity. According to the supplied quarterly report, network revenue, or REV, reached $54.2 million, while total transactions rose 7.5% to 1.51 billion. However, daily active addresses declined, showing that higher transaction volumes did not translate into growth across every adoption metric.

Network Revenue Rises 54% to $54.2 Million

BNB Chain generated $54.2 million in network REV during Q3, up 54% from $35.2 million in Q2. The total comprised $49.1 million in transaction fees and $5.1 million in maximum extractable value (MEV) payments, which are payments associated with opportunities to influence transaction ordering and block construction.

Transaction activity increased 7.5% to 1.51 billion, while the average transaction fee climbed 43% to $0.032. Average daily gas consumption rose 47%, with the increase becoming more pronounced in August and September. The combination of greater activity and higher average fees helped drive revenue growth.

GMGN's trading router was a major contributor. It paid $8.8 million in network fees during Q3, compared with $2.2 million in Q2. The $6.6 million increase accounted for more than one-third of the $17.9 million rise in transaction fee revenue. Approximately 90% of GMGN's quarterly fees were generated in August and September, when token launches on Flap increased.

BNB Chain also continued subsidizing selected stablecoin transfers through its 0-Fee Carnival program, covering USDC, USD1 and U. The program was extended through September 30 and then through October 31, meaning the reported fee growth came from paid activity elsewhere on the network.

Token-Holder Income Increases as BNB Supply Falls

Token-holder net income reached $45.1 million in Q3, an increase of 57% from $28.8 million in Q2. The measure combines delegator rewards and the real-time token burn conducted under BEP-95.

The report highlights that BNB does not issue new tokens to pay validators. Net emissions remained negative every day during the quarter, meaning the token-holder income figure was not offset by new-token issuance. Net income represented 92% of transaction fee revenue, matching the ratio recorded over the previous two quarters.

The 30-day net staking annual percentage rate (APR) increased to 1.15% at the end of Q3 from 0.70% at the end of Q2. Validator operators earned $9.1 million, including $4 million in commissions and $5.1 million in MEV payments, up 39% from $6.5 million in the previous quarter.

BNB Chain's scheduled token-reduction mechanisms also continued. The 36th quarterly auto-burn on July 15 removed 1,615,827.8 BNB, valued at approximately $932 million at the time. The BEP-95 mechanism burned another 7,400 BNB during the quarter, valued at $4.9 million. Total supply ended Q3 at 133.2 million BNB, down from 134.8 million at the end of Q2.

Pasteur Upgrade Increases Block Capacity

BNB Chain activated the Pasteur hard fork on its mainnet on August 25. The upgrade introduced three proposals: BEP-682, which rejects duplicate validator signatures in cross-chain verification; BEP-695, which strengthens key-rotation, slashing and governance checks; and BEP-675, which introduces the BidBlock V2 block-building path.

Within a week of activation, BidBlock V2 was producing approximately 98% of blocks. Those blocks contained an average of 28% more gas than blocks produced through the previous path. Network utilization remained above 95% after the fork, and validators raised the gas-limit target to 70 million ahead of September 15. The report identifies 80 million and potentially 90 million as subsequent targets.

The network processed an average of 16.4 million transactions per day during Q3, with observed load averaging approximately 190 transactions per second. The failed-transaction share improved to 6.4%, down from 8.6% in Q2.

The team's second-half roadmap, published in July, targets another doubling of mainnet throughput. Other planned work includes dedicated transaction lanes, improved transaction inclusion during congestion and better isolation between busy applications. A BSC Payment Lane is planned for Q4, while the next-generation Layer 1 design targets more than 100,000 transactions per second and confirmation in under 50 milliseconds, with a testnet planned by the end of 2026.

Further technical details and network updates are available through the official BNB Chain website and its developer documentation.

Tokenized Real-World Assets Expand Beyond Equities

BNB Chain ended Q3 with $1.13 billion in tokenized-equity supply, double the $560 million recorded at the end of Q2. That represented approximately 39% of the $2.89 billion in tokenized public equities tracked across chains, giving BNB Chain the largest supply among the networks covered by the report.

The bStocks ecosystem accounted for $810 million in supply by quarter-end. Trading was particularly concentrated in QQQB, the bStocks token representing the Invesco QQQ ETF, which contributed approximately 80% of bStocks DEX volume during the quarter. Other actively traded tokens included SPCXB, associated with SpaceX, along with SPYB, NVDAB, BNCB and GMEB.

Trading peaked in late July, when tokenized-asset pairs accounted for 62% to 65% of all spot DEX volume on BNB Chain for two consecutive weeks. Daily trading volume in the category reached $1.2 billion on July 26. From mid-August onward, weekly volume generally ranged from $600 million to $1.1 billion, with a $2.1 billion week in early September.

Tokenized-equity lending also expanded. Sixpence enabled borrowing against supported tokenized equities, K3 Capital opened a USDT credit market on Euler using bStocks as collateral, and APRO began publishing price feeds for 12 bStocks. By the end of Q3, lending markets held $62 million in tokenized equities, up from $6 million at the end of Q2.

Outside equities, non-stablecoin real-world asset supply increased 24% to $4.96 billion. Tokenized treasuries rose 29% to $3.77 billion, while yield-bearing stablecoins increased 9% to $1.19 billion. Ondo's USDY launched on BNB Chain on August 4. More information about the issuer's tokenized financial products is available through Ondo Finance.

DEX Trading Composition Changes

Total spot DEX volume on BNB Chain rose 28% to $75.7 billion in Q3, marking its first quarterly increase after four consecutive declines. The composition of trading changed significantly as tokenized-asset pairs expanded and memecoin and project-token shares contracted.

Tokenized-asset pairs grew to 32.3% of spot volume, while memecoins fell to 5.8% from 12.6%. Project tokens declined to 14% from 29.1%. Stablecoin swaps increased 31% to $9.6 billion, maintaining a 12.6% share of total volume.

PancakeSwap remained the largest venue, but its share fell to 56.7% from 76.9%. Uniswap held a 15.2% share, while Native grew to 12.7% from less than 1%. Request-for-quote venues accounted for 16.1% of trading volume, up from 1.1%, indicating a broader mix of trading mechanisms. Readers can explore the largest DEX through PancakeSwap's official website.

Active Addresses and Stablecoin Supply Decline

Despite the growth in transactions, daily active addresses averaged 2.10 million during Q3, down 14% from 2.43 million in Q2. New-address creation averaged 482,000 per day, a decline of 27%. At the same time, transactions per active address increased to an average of 7.8 per day from 6.3, helping explain how total transaction counts rose while the active-address measure weakened.

Contract deployments moved in the opposite direction, increasing to 12.3 million from 4.5 million in Q2. Unique daily deployers rose 13% to approximately 5,100. ERC-4337 smart accounts averaged about 62,000 daily active senders, up 85% from 34,000 in Q2. The report also counted approximately 940,000 active wallets per day with EIP-7702 delegation, nearly double the Q2 average of 474,000.

Stablecoin supply on BNB Chain fell 4.6% to $13.22 billion from $13.86 billion. USD1 declined to $1.39 billion from $1.80 billion, accounting for approximately 64% of the overall reduction. USDe fell to $78 million from $243 million, contributing another 26% of the decline. USDT remained at $9.19 billion and USDC at $1.59 billion.

These figures show that Q3's stronger revenue and tokenized-asset trading did not coincide with universal growth in user or stablecoin metrics.

AI Agents, Security and Institutional Access

BNB Agent Studio launched on July 1 and released four versions during the quarter. Its updates introduced paid data access, agent earnings, spending limits and additional wallet and deployment options. The platform enables builders to create agents using a prompt in Cursor or Claude Code, with deployments to BNB Smart Chain and an ERC-8004 identity and wallet.

The report states that ERC-8004 agent registrations on BNB Smart Chain reached 330,604 at the beginning of October, approximately 61% of the 544,574 registrations across all networks. The team also proposed the Agent Lifecycle Protocol as an open standard, with Agent Studio serving as its reference implementation.

BNB Chain earned ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications from BSI in August. Five days later, it relaunched AvengerDAO as a security program for builders, including a marketplace of 11 security firms, a five-area BNB Chain Security Standard and bug-bounty support. Lista DAO was its first member.

Institutional access also widened. BNB Chain joined Mastercard's Crypto Partner Program on August 26, while Futubull became the first licensed Hong Kong brokerage to offer BNB order-book trading to professional investors. Kalshi listed BNB perpetuals for U.S. traders in September. European BNB exchange-traded products ended the quarter with $17.1 million in combined assets under management, up from $11.5 million at the end of Q2.

What BNB Chain's Q3 Results Mean for Q4

BNB Chain's third quarter combined rapid tokenized-equity expansion with higher network revenue, increased transaction volume and further infrastructure development. The $25.6 billion in tokenized-equity trading and 57% increase in token-holder net income were standout figures, while the Pasteur upgrade created room for fuller blocks.

The next quarter will test whether tokenized-equity trading can maintain its pace beyond the July peak, whether activity expands beyond QQQB, and whether planned upgrades deliver additional capacity. Agent Studio adoption and stablecoin supply after the 0-Fee Carnival ends on October 31 will also be important indicators.

The report identifies the 37th auto-burn, calculated from Q3 activity, as the next scheduled step toward BNB Chain's 100 million BNB supply floor. Whether Q3's growth continues will depend on sustained demand for tokenized assets, network use and the delivery of the team's remaining technical roadmap.
