Binance Weekly Roundup: bStocks, Margin Updates and Network Support

Binance expands trading and network support

Binance released a broad set of announcements this week covering tokenized stocks, margin trading, stablecoin infrastructure, network upgrades, exchange maintenance and Binance Earn products.

Among the most notable updates were support for a USDT contract swap on Optimism, new GoPro and Reddit bStocks trading pairs, changes to collateral ratios under Cross Margin and Portfolio Margin, and the completion of USDC integration on the Arc network.

The exchange also announced support for the Vana network upgrade and hard fork, while continuing to expand its bStocks offering and related trading infrastructure.

USDT contract swap on Optimism completed

One of Binance's network-related updates involved a contract swap for USDT on Optimism.

Binance suspended USDT deposits and withdrawals through Optimism on September 17 at 02:00 UTC to conduct the swap. The conversion was carried out at a 1:1 ratio, with the new Optimism USDT retaining the USDT ticker while the previous token was designated OPUSDTE. Read Binance's USDT contract-swap announcement

Binance later confirmed on September 18 that the swap had been completed and that USDT deposits and withdrawals through Optimism had reopened. Users can also convert old Optimism USDT, identified as OPUSDTE, into the new version at a 1:1 ratio through Binance Convert.

Spot, margin, futures and Binance Earn services were not affected by the contract swap.

Binance adds GoPro and Reddit tokenized stocks

Tokenized securities remained a major part of Binance's weekly activity.

On September 16, Binance added GoPro (GPROB) and Reddit (RDDTB) bStocks trading pairs on Spot and Convert. The new Spot markets are GPROB/USDT and RDDTB/USDT. Binance also enabled Spot Algo Trading Bots and Rebalancing Bots for the new bStocks. See the official GoPro and Reddit bStocks announcement

Binance said users could exchange the bStocks against BTC, USDT and other supported assets through Binance Convert, with zero fees for the relevant conversion service within the specified launch period.

The exchange also states that bStocks represent tokenized securities and that each underlying stock can be converted 1:1 into its corresponding bStock. Binance notes that these products are not offered or made available to U.S. persons and have not been registered under U.S. securities laws.

TSM and Salesforce dividends supported through bStocks

Binance also announced support for cash dividend distributions for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSM) and Salesforce (CRM) through its bStocks products.

According to Binance, eligible holders of TSMB and CRMB will receive the net dividend amount after applicable withholding taxes, fees, costs and other deductions. The remaining amount will be reinvested into additional units or fractions of the same underlying security, meaning eligible users receive the dividend through additional bStock exposure rather than a separate cash payment. The eligibility snapshots were set for September 16 for TSM and September 17 for CRM. Binance also temporarily suspended certain token conversion, deposit and withdrawal services for TSMB and CRMB while the distributions were processed.

Margin trading rules receive several updates

Binance also changed collateral ratios under Cross Margin and Portfolio Margin.

Effective September 18 at 06:00 UTC, the exchange increased the collateral ratios for ARB, TAO and WLD from 50% to 60%. At the same time, collateral ratios for AUCTION, BLUR, GALA, HYPER, S, and SYRUP were reduced from 30% to 10%. View Binance's collateral-ratio update

The changes also included adjustments to the Portfolio Margin Pro collateral structure for WLFI. Binance said the update would take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Separately, Binance announced the removal of several margin trading pairs. The affected Cross Margin pairs were ENJ/USDC, GENIUS/USDC, CVX/USDC, GUN/USDC and VANA/USDC, while GENIUS/USDC was also removed from Isolated Margin. See the margin-pair removal notice

Vana upgrade and Arc USDC integration

Binance also prepared for the Vana (VANA) network upgrade and hard fork.

The exchange said deposits and withdrawals on the Vana network would be suspended from approximately September 21 at 11:29 UTC. The upgrade was scheduled for block height 10,229,958, around 12:29 UTC. Trading of tokens on the network was not expected to be affected. Read Binance's Vana upgrade notice

Binance also completed its integration of USDC on the Arc network and opened deposits on September 16. Withdrawals on Arc will open after Binance receives sufficient deposits, according to the exchange. Read the Arc USDC integration update

Binance Earn offers RLUSD rewards

Binance's Earn division also introduced new limited-time Yield Arena offers.

The exchange announced a 200,000 RLUSD reward pool for eligible users participating in the RLUSD leaderboard and subscribing to RLUSD Flexible Products. The campaign was scheduled to run from September 11 through September 24, subject to the applicable conditions. View Binance Earn's Yield Arena announcement

Other Yield Arena products included Simple Earn, ETH Staking, SOL Staking and Dual Investment, giving users several ways to participate in Binance's promotional Earn programs.

More exchange maintenance and trading changes

Binance's weekly announcements also included updates to spot trading tick sizes, a scheduled system upgrade, and adjustments to trading infrastructure.

The exchange separately added the new GPROB and RDDTB bStocks markets while continuing to expand its tokenized-asset offering. These moves come alongside Binance's broader push to support trading of tokenized versions of traditional securities alongside cryptocurrencies.

Taken together, the week's announcements cover several different parts of the Binance platform. The exchange is simultaneously updating its underlying network support, changing margin parameters, expanding tokenized-stock markets and adding new stablecoin infrastructure.

For users, the practical impact varies by product. Network upgrades and contract swaps can affect deposits and withdrawals, while margin-ratio changes can alter how much collateral is recognized for supported assets. Tokenized-stock announcements, meanwhile, add new markets and services but come with jurisdictional and product-specific restrictions.

The full collection of current notices can be followed through Binance's official announcement center, where the exchange publishes updates on listings, trading, maintenance, margin, Earn products and network support.
