Binance will adjust collateral ratios and leverage limits for several assets on September 11, including PAXG, XAUT, QQQB, SPYB and SOXLB.

Binance Adjusts Margin Ratios and Leverage for Several Assets

Binance Announces New Margin Parameters

Binance is preparing to update its cross-margin and unified-account risk parameters, changing collateral ratios and leverage multiples for several assets.

The adjustments are scheduled to take effect at 14:00 UTC+8 on September 11, 2026, with Binance expecting the update to take approximately 30 minutes.

The changes affect borrowing capacity, transferable collateral and leverage availability across different Binance account types.

For traders using margin, the update is important because changes to collateral requirements can directly affect account maintenance ratios and liquidation risk.

PAXG and XAUT Receive Higher Leverage

Two of the biggest changes involve PAXG and XAUT, the tokenized gold assets supported by Binance.

Under the full-leverage unified account structure, their loan-to-value ratios will increase from 70% to 80%.

At the same time, the maximum leverage ratio for PAXG and XAUT under the unified account will increase from 5x to 10x.

This gives eligible traders greater borrowing capacity relative to their collateral, although higher leverage can also amplify losses when prices move against a position.

Binance Changes Ratios for Tokenized Stock Assets

Binance is also changing collateral parameters for several tokenized stock-related assets.

The adjustments include:

  • QQQB: LTV increases from 50% to 70%

  • SPYB: LTV increases from 50% to 70%

  • SOXLB: LTV increases from 50% to 60%

Unlike PAXG and XAUT, these assets also receive changes to their professional unified-account collateral tiers.

For QQQB and SPYB, the highest collateral tier remains at a 50% LTV above $4 million, while the thresholds and intermediate tiers are being revised.

SOXLB's professional-account leverage structure is also being adjusted, with its ranking changing from 8 to 7 and its intermediate collateral thresholds being modified.

Some Smaller Assets Face Lower Borrowing Ratios

Not every adjustment increases leverage.

Binance will reduce the LTV ratio for several assets from 30% to 10%.

The affected assets are:

  • API3

  • C

  • ILV

  • INIT

  • SLP

  • SOPH

  • TREE

For traders using these assets as collateral, the lower LTV means they will be able to borrow or transfer less under the applicable full-leverage structure.

This is an important distinction because the update is not simply a broad increase or decrease in Binance leverage. Instead, Binance is recalibrating risk parameters on an asset-by-asset basis.

Unified Account Maintenance Ratios Are Important

Binance specifically warns that collateral and leverage ratios affect the Unified Account Maintenance Margin Ratio (uniMMR).

The uniMMR is an important risk metric for traders using unified accounts because changes to collateral values and borrowing limits can alter the amount of margin available to support open positions.

A lower effective collateral value can increase pressure on an account's margin ratio.

Users holding leveraged positions should therefore review their account after the update and make sure they maintain sufficient collateral.

What the Changes Mean for BSC Traders

Although the announcement covers Binance's broader margin infrastructure rather than BNB Chain directly, several affected assets are part of the wider ecosystem of tokenized financial products available to crypto users.

QQQB, SPYB and SOXLB are examples of blockchain-based representations of traditional market exposure, while Binance's broader product expansion is connecting crypto infrastructure with traditional financial markets.

For the BNB Chain ecosystem, the growing availability of tokenized assets and on-chain financial products represents an expanding use case beyond traditional crypto assets.

However, users should distinguish between Binance's centralized margin products and applications operating directly on BNB Smart Chain. The changes announced here concern Binance's own account and risk-management infrastructure.

Traders Should Review Positions Before September 11

The updated parameters could affect users differently depending on the assets they hold and whether they use margin.

Before the changes take effect, leveraged traders should review:

  • Current collateral levels

  • Outstanding loans

  • Leverage ratios

  • Unified Account Maintenance Margin Ratio

  • Assets being used as collateral

  • Potential liquidation levels

Users relying on assets whose LTV ratios are being reduced should pay particular attention because their borrowing capacity could decline.

Binance also recommends monitoring the account's maintenance margin ratio to reduce the risk of liquidation or losses resulting from the parameter changes.

Conclusion

Binance is recalibrating its margin framework across several assets, with the changes taking effect on September 11 at 14:00 UTC+8.

PAXG and XAUT will receive higher LTV limits and increased unified-account leverage, while QQQB, SPYB and SOXLB will also see changes to their collateral parameters.

At the same time, API3, C, ILV, INIT, SLP, SOPH and TREE will face lower LTV ratios.

For traders, the key takeaway is that higher leverage can increase both opportunity and risk, while lower collateral ratios can reduce borrowing capacity and increase liquidation pressure.

Anyone holding leveraged positions should review their account parameters before the update and monitor their maintenance margin ratio once the new rules take effect.
