BNB Chain Highlights Growing Institutional Interest
BNB Chain is putting its institutional and decentralized finance ecosystem in the spotlight at Korea Blockchain Week, with industry participants pointing to the network’s large global user base as a key reason for its growing importance.
The discussion comes as BNB Chain continues expanding its role in real-world assets, tokenized securities, stablecoins and onchain financial markets. The network’s institutional finance infrastructure now includes tokenized products associated with major asset managers and financial firms.

At the event, BNB Chain posted that “we are so back,” reflecting the renewed attention around its ecosystem and its presence in one of Asia’s major blockchain industry gatherings.
Ondo Finance Points to BNB Chain’s Global Reach
Matthew Blumberg, Head of DeFi at Ondo Finance, highlighted BNB Chain’s global user base when discussing why the network is particularly important for Ondo.
The focus on users is significant for tokenized financial products because bringing an asset onchain is only one part of building a market. Issuers and platforms also need access to wallets, trading venues, liquidity and users who can interact with those assets.
Ondo has already expanded its tokenized stock and ETF products onto BNB Chain. Its official announcement says the integration brought more than 100 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs to the network, alongside access to BNB Chain’s broad ecosystem of wallets, exchanges and DeFi applications.

Major Financial Names Are Building on the Network
The discussion at Korea Blockchain Week also highlighted the presence of major financial institutions in the BNB Chain ecosystem. BlackRock, Franklin Templeton and VanEck were among the institutions referenced as already having products or infrastructure connected to the network.
BNB Chain’s institutional finance platform currently highlights BlackRock’s BUIDL, Franklin Templeton’s BENJI and VanEck’s VBILL among tokenized financial products available through the ecosystem. Ondo’s tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs are also included in the network’s institutional offering.
Franklin Templeton has also expanded its Benji Technology Platform to BNB Chain, bringing its blockchain-based investment infrastructure to the network. The firm’s Benji platform supports tokenized financial products and is available across multiple blockchain networks, including BNB Smart Chain.

Tokenized Assets Become a Major BNB Chain Focus
The growing institutional presence comes as tokenized real-world assets become a major part of BNB Chain’s broader strategy. The network supports tokenized Treasury products, money market funds, equities, ETFs and other real-world assets.
BNB Chain’s institutional infrastructure includes compliance tools, investor whitelisting, KYC and AML support, custodial services and connections to DeFi liquidity. These features are designed to address requirements that institutional issuers face when bringing regulated financial assets onchain.
The network has also expanded its tokenized-equity market. BNB Chain reported that more than 700 tokenized stocks and ETFs were available across its ecosystem by June 2026, with cumulative tokenized stock trading volume surpassing $5 billion and market capitalization exceeding $1 billion.
Ondo Continues Expanding Tokenized Markets
Ondo Finance has become one of the most visible tokenization platforms operating across BNB Chain and other major networks. Its products include tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs as well as tokenized Treasury exposure.
In August 2026, Ondo also brought its USDY tokenized U.S. Dollar Yield Token to BNB Chain. The product provides tokenized exposure to U.S. Treasury-backed yield and is integrated with several applications and infrastructure providers across the ecosystem.

The expansion illustrates how BNB Chain is being positioned not only as a venue for crypto-native applications but also as infrastructure for financial assets moving onto blockchain networks.
Global Users Remain a Key Competitive Advantage
For projects such as Ondo, access to a large user base can be as important as blockchain performance. Tokenized assets need markets where users can hold, trade and potentially integrate them with other onchain applications.
BNB Chain has emphasized this combination of user reach and financial infrastructure. Its RWA platform currently highlights more than 3.4 million daily active users, while the network continues developing connections between tokenized assets and DeFi protocols.
This gives tokenization platforms a potential distribution layer in addition to the underlying blockchain infrastructure. For institutional issuers, the ability to reach existing users can help connect traditional financial products with established onchain markets.
BNB Chain’s Institutional Push Continues
The discussion at Korea Blockchain Week comes as BNB Chain continues positioning itself around institutional finance, tokenization and DeFi. The presence of products associated with BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, VanEck and Ondo reflects the growing range of financial assets being represented on the network.
Ondo’s emphasis on BNB Chain’s global user base also points to a broader trend in blockchain-based finance. As tokenized securities move beyond early experiments, networks increasingly compete not only on technical infrastructure but also on liquidity, distribution, compliance capabilities and user reach.
For BNB Chain, the combination of institutional products and a large global ecosystem is becoming an increasingly important part of its market positioning. Korea Blockchain Week provided another platform for that strategy to come into focus as traditional financial firms and crypto-native platforms continue exploring onchain markets.
