BNB Chain Handles Nearly Half of Enterprise Payout Transactions

BNB Chain processed 48.23% of enterprise payout transactions in six months of NOWPayments data, ahead of TRON, Ethereum, Solana and Bitcoin. Its combination of transaction volume and fast settlement helped make it a prominent payment network for the businesses analyzed.

BNB Chain Handles Nearly Half of Enterprise Payout Transactions

BNB Chain Takes the Largest Share of Enterprise Payout Transactions

BNB Chain accounted for 48.23% of all enterprise payout transactions recorded by NOWPayments over a six-month period, giving it the largest transaction share among the five major blockchain networks included in the analysis.

The network ranked ahead of TRON at 15.73%, Ethereum at 7.42%, Solana at 3.86% and Bitcoin at 2.60%. The figures indicate that, within the enterprise customer activity measured by NOWPayments, BNB Chain was used for nearly half of all payout transactions.

The result is notable because the transaction share was considerably larger than BNB Chain's share of total payout value. That difference suggests the network was particularly active for businesses making frequent payouts rather than only a smaller number of high-value transfers.

BNB Chain Processed 21.75% of Total Payout Value

BNB Chain represented 21.75% of the total payout value in the same six-month dataset. That placed it second behind TRON, which accounted for 43.69% of total payout value.

The difference between transaction share and value share is one of the most significant details in the data. BNB Chain processed 48.23% of transactions but 21.75% of the value, meaning its large transaction count was not matched by an equivalent share of the total money transferred.

This pattern is consistent with the supplied data showing substantial usage for repeated payouts. However, the figures alone do not identify the exact types of businesses, payment categories or individual use cases responsible for the transactions.

Settlement Speed Gives BNB Chain an Advantage

Transaction processing time was another area where BNB Chain performed strongly in the NOWPayments data. Its average payout time was 3 minutes and 13 seconds, according to the six-month comparison.

That was only five seconds slower than TRON, while Ethereum recorded an average payout time of 5 minutes and 56 seconds. The comparison places BNB Chain relatively close to TRON on settlement speed and significantly ahead of Ethereum in the dataset.

For companies sending payouts frequently, these characteristics can matter because payment infrastructure needs to handle repeated transactions without making each transfer unnecessarily expensive or slow.

Why Transaction Frequency Matters for Businesses

Enterprise payment activity is not always dominated by large individual transfers. Companies may need to send many smaller payments to customers, contractors, merchants or other recipients, making transaction costs and processing times important operational considerations.

The NOWPayments figures show that BNB Chain's 48.23% transaction share was more than twice its 21.75% value share. This does not establish exactly why businesses chose the network, but it provides a useful indication that BNB Chain was heavily represented in the frequency of payouts recorded by the payment processor.

BNB Chain itself positions its infrastructure for payment applications, citing low fees and fast transaction processing. Its official documentation also describes BNB Smart Chain as a high-performance network with low transaction fees and fast block times. BNB Smart Chain documentation

BNB Chain Is Building a Broader Payments Infrastructure

The NOWPayments data comes as BNB Chain continues to develop infrastructure specifically aimed at crypto payments and business use cases.

BNB Chain's payment platform highlights several payment-related applications, including payment gateways, cross-border payments, crypto cards and onchain payment infrastructure. The network says its payment ecosystem is designed to support businesses seeking faster and lower-cost digital asset transfers. BNB Chain payment ecosystem

The network has also highlighted enterprise-oriented payment integrations. In December 2025, BNB Chain announced that customers using Amazon Web Services could access BNB as a payment option through the Better Payment Network, describing the infrastructure as a way to connect digital assets with traditional financial workflows. These developments do not directly explain the NOWPayments results, but they show that payments are an established area of focus for the BNB Chain ecosystem.

BNB Chain Did Not Lead Every Metric

The six-month figures also show why transaction share and payment value should be considered separately.

TRON handled 43.69% of total payout value, compared with BNB Chain's 21.75%, even though BNB Chain recorded the larger transaction share. TRON also recorded an average payout time of approximately 3 minutes and 8 seconds, compared with BNB Chain's 3 minutes and 13 seconds.

Ethereum, meanwhile, accounted for 7.42% of transactions and recorded an average payout time of 5 minutes and 56 seconds. Solana represented 3.86% of transactions, while Bitcoin accounted for 2.60%.

The figures therefore do not show a single network leading every category. Instead, they highlight different patterns in how the five networks were used within the enterprise payout activity measured by NOWPayments.

What the NOWPayments Data Says About BNB Chain

The clearest takeaway from the six-month dataset is BNB Chain's unusually large share of enterprise payout transaction frequency. With 48.23% of transactions, it was used far more frequently than any of the other four networks included in the comparison.

Its 21.75% share of payout value tells a different story, indicating that its large transaction count was not driven solely by the largest transfers. Combined with an average payout time of 3 minutes and 13 seconds, the data points to a network that was heavily used for repeated enterprise payments within NOWPayments' customer base.

BNB Chain's official payment infrastructure emphasizes the same broad characteristics highlighted by the dataset: fast settlement, low transaction costs and support for business payment applications. BNB Chain official payment infrastructure

For now, the NOWPayments figures provide a snapshot of enterprise payout activity rather than a complete measurement of global blockchain payments. But within that dataset, BNB Chain clearly stood out for the frequency of enterprise payout transactions, making payment activity an important part of its broader blockchain use case.
